Today’s post will be short and sweet, as it was a pretty uneventful day here. Lexi and Zev had a really great walk together this morning. They both totally wanted to play with each other when we first started walking through the big empty lot next to our house, but we’re not quite ready for that stage yet! It is nice to see that they want to play and are friendly towards each other, but we want to continue to get to know Lexi better before we allow them to play. They settled down nicely after that and walked around and near each other very calmly, occasionally sniffing each other, bumping shoulders, and just enjoying themselves. They are still separated in the house but are doing so well interacting with each other. Even so, we are taking everything as slowly as need be.
Later in the day it snowed a few inches (and still is) and we took them out again for a short walk. Brrrr! After that John and I decided to go out to dinner, leaving Lexi and Zev alone in the house for the first time since she arrived. She was crated, of course, and we also put the baby gate up for good measure, but as expected all went well. I think we were the only ones with any kind of nervousness. Otherwise, it was a quiet but good day. Now it’s time for some pictures, including a jammie fix!
