Lexi, snoring away with her tongue out, like a champ!
First of all, Merry Christmas! We hope you all had a great holiday. Ours was wonderful and the dogs got spoiled, of course.
Today we decided to take the dogs out for some adventuring, since John, Christian, and I all had off from work/school. We debated on taking the dogs on a hike but ultimately decided to spend a few hours at the beach! We picked a nice big beach on the North Shore in what is called the Kaena Point Nature Preserve.
When we first got there, John and I took the dogs for a walk down the beach to get some energy out.
Lexi isn’t a big fan of the water, but Zev will fearlessly waddle right in. The waves have been big lately!
After our walk we set up camp to relax for a few hours.
Hey everyone! So I was just thinking that I haven’t put up too many pictures of Hawaii yet. Rest assured, I have taken plenty and will share some with you now! This is where we live…sometimes I still can’t quite believe it!
View from the Lanikai Pillboxes trail. In the distance is the Kaneohe Marine Corps Base. My brother is hoping to get stationed out here within the next few years!
View of China Man’s Hat on the east side of the island. This is close to where the Obamas will be staying!
Our favorite North Shore beach. This picture was taken on our first night out here on a walk with the dogs.
View of the Diamond Head crater from John’s work site.
View from a friend’s house in Nanakuli, on the west side of the island.

Yellow leaves in Hawaii!!
Pretty sunset from a friend’s house near Koko Head crater.
View of Honolulu from the waterfront park near my work.
View of Diamond Head from the park behind my work.
So, this is a taste of where we live and some of our favorite places. I hope you enjoy them!
Move along, folks, nothing to see here. The little one is asleep like usual and I’m just doing my guard dog thing.
Just a normal nap in the life of Lexi.
…for Lexi’s first real family Christmas! She even has her own stocking! I love spoiling both the dogs with presents 🙂
…a lovely nap on the couch with my Peanut!
